Wills & Estate Law

A downloaded template is not a valid Victorian will.

A valid will in Victoria has formal requirements — written, signed and witnessed correctly — that a template rarely satisfies, and cross-border family assets add another layer most templates don't address at all. We draft and update wills, testamentary trusts and powers of attorney, and act for executors and beneficiaries once a matter is underway. We handle roughly a hundred wills and estate matters a year, from straightforward single wills to blended families and estates with assets split between Australia and China.

What we help with

  • Will drafting, updates & review
  • Testamentary trusts
  • Blended & multi-generational family wills
  • Cross-border asset planning (Australia–China)
  • Enduring power of attorney & advance care directives
  • Grant of probate applications
  • Letters of administration
  • Estate administration & disputes
  • Family provision claims

When this usually comes up

  • You don't have a will, or haven't updated one in years
  • Your family situation has changed — remarriage, new children, a move overseas
  • You're an executor and don't know where to start
  • You're contesting, or expect someone to contest, an estate

First conversations are confidential and at no cost, in English or Mandarin.
